About this Talk
Photographer Phil Borges shows rarely seen images from the mountains of Dharamsala, India, and the jungles of the Ecuadorian Amazon. In documenting these endangered cultures, he hopes to help preserve them. His profound respect for his subjects is apparent from the first picture he shares, of Tamdin, a persecuted Buddhist nun in exile from Tibet. In each face and story he captures, Borges imparts dignity to the enduring spirits of his subjects.
